For those of you who simply can’t wait to re-enact their favourite scene from the Fast and the Furious franchise, Aston Martin just gave you something to get very excited about. The renowned sports car company announced its new AMR (Aston Martin Racing) range at the Geneva Motorshow. Kicking things off properly is the Rapide AMR, which brings speedway performance to the nearest freeway and thereby forges a tenable link between Aston Martin’s race cars and road cars.

Aston Martin’s latest move is part of a broader plan to offer AMR variants on essentially every one of their road cars. For now it’s the Rapide AMR (and a track-only Vantage AMR Pro) and next year they’re set to debut the Valkyrie, which is being touted as the company’s fastest and most powerful road car to date. Until then, we’ll just have to settle for what Aston Martin claims is the “fastest and most thrilling four door”: the Rapide AMR. Under the hood of this made-over sedan is a new quad exhaust and an updated, naturally aspirated 6.0 litre V12 engine that can produce 591 HP and achieve speeds of up to 210 mph.

On the visual front, the new Rapide AMR looks ready to rumble, hosting a sleek and sporty profile that includes 21 inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler and diffuser, a sterling green body with a lime green racing stripe down the middle and a hefty grille set to devour anything in its path. On the inside are carbon fibre seats, suede upholstery and a matching colour scheme among plenty of other goodies. Only 210 Rapide AMRs are being made.

Also unveiled was the Vantage AMR Pro, a track-only model that shares some visual qualities with the Rapide AMR but has a sportier vibe going for it with a front splitter, rear wing and a roll cage on the inside. With a 500-HP V8 engine (the same used on the GT4 race car), the Vantage AMR Pro is the most powerful of its kind to date. It’s production run is being limited to 7 editions so if you can afford it, be sure to grab it before it’s gone.
