The Halo Board

The Halo Board

Check out this amazing The Halo Board

This is either the future of the skateboard or something else altogether. The Halo Board is built similarly to a skateboard, but it balances on a single wheel that is situated in the centre of the board.

The eight-inch wheel uses micro V2 Halo Sensors to help users keep their balance on the board. When turning, users must shift the weight to their feet and the Halo Board will sense the direction the user wants to go. Lean forward to accelerate, and the gyroscopic and pressure sensors help the Halo Board automatically detect how fast users will go depending on how much they lean.

Eventually, the sensors adapt to the riding style and make adjustments accordingly, which personalizes the riding experience. Users can travel up 16km on a full charge and at 20km/h top speed. When riding at night there are LED lights covering the edges of the board, giving it a futuristic appeal. Another cool addition is the built-in Bluetooth speaker that can sync with a phone so users can enjoy their favourite tunes as they ride along.
