Trump’s Lawyer Demands Snoop Dogg Apologize For Mock Assassination Of The President
The president’s lawyer responds to the new Snoop Dogg video, which finds the rapper aiming a gun at the head of Ronald Klump, or the clown version of Donald Trump.
“It’s totally disgraceful. Snoop owes the president an apology,” said Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, while speaking to TMZ earlier today.
He, like Republican Senator Marco Rubio, feels that Snoop Dogg crossed the line with his latest music video. In the climactic scene of the video in question, Snoop aims a pistol at a Trump look-alike. He fires, though the gun proves be a toy weapon, as it shoots out a red flag that says “BANG.”
Even so, Cohen wasn’t amused. “There’s absolutely nothing funny about an assassination attempt on a president,” he said, “and I’m really shocked at him because I thought he was better than that.”
“I would not have accepted if it was President Obama,” Cohen continued, “and I certainly don’t accept it as President Trump.”
The controversial new music video is for Snoop’s new “Nightfall” remix of “Lavender,” a song by BADBADNOTGOOD that features Kaytranada. Directed by Jesse Wellens — who runs the PrankvsPrank YouTube channel — and James DeFina, the video takes place in a clown world that’s headed by Clown-in-Chief Ronald Klump, who bears an obvious likeness to our current president.
“You know what’s really sad is that there’s so much more that Snoop can do for this country than these sort of ridiculous videos,” said Cohen, going on to offer the veteran rapper some ideas on how he can become a more involved citizen.
“Maybe something he wants to do is join my diversity coalition for Trump,” Cohen suggested. “Maybe what he wants to do is join Jim Brown with the Amer-I-can program, and maybe there are other things he can do in order to help the inner cities get past the violence and the drugs and the killings that are going on, instead of showing more killings.”
Cohen concluded the interview by saying, “Unfortunately, shame on you, Snoop. You should be better than that, that’s for sure.”
