Chino XL Death: Well-known East Coast rapper, Derek Emmanuel Barbosa has died

East Coast rapper, Chino XL (Derek Emmanuel Barbosa) has reportedly died. An inside source confirmed the news in a text on Monday, July 29, 2024. Fellow rapper, AFRO posted a tribute to Chino XL on Twitter just minutes after the news started to spread. He wrote “RIP to CHINO XL .. I’m gonna miss you, big bro.”

Barbosa has been in various films and television shows, having signed with Hollywood talent manager Stacey Castro and later featured as a guest role in the Comedy Central series Reno 911! and the CBS series CSI: Miami. His feature film credits include a co-starring role alongside Kate Hudson and Luke Wilson in filmmaker Rob Reiner’s Alex & Emma, as well as Brandon Sonnier’s The Beat, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Chino XL was born on April 8, 1974, in the Bronx and later moved to New jersey, Chino XL gained recognition in the 1990 with his debut album, Here to Save You All, released in 1996, which showcased his lyrical prowess and storytelling ability.
