Death: Clayton Kloesel, San Antonio TX, CPS Energy Lineman died from Electrocution

The identity of the CPS Energy Lineman who died early on Tuesday morning from electrocution has been revealed. Clayton Kloesel was a lineman who had worked for CPS Energy for eleven years. The three children and his wife survive Kloesel. Both his father and spouse are CPS Energy members.

He was a member of the Lineman Rodeo Team and a talented journeyman, according to CPS.The San Antonio Water System sent the lineman’s family their condolences in a message posted on X, formerly Twitter.

In expressing his sympathies, Mayor Ron Nirenberg also mentioned the sacrifices made by individuals who support the provision of services that we take for granted. Along with expressing his sympathies, City Councilman Marc Whyte thanked the employees who gave their lives to guaranteeing that the general public could access power.

After been electrocuted while working on a power line in Far West Bexar County, a CPS Energy employee passed away early on Tuesday morning. The event took place close to Culebra Road along Percheron Pass.

Sandra Pickell, a public information officer for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, stated that although first responders started saving the worker’s life at 5:30 a.m., the victim passed away from his wounds.

The worker, Clayton Kloesel, 32, was identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office. The worker’s death is also being looked into.
