An official statement has been issued by Representative Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), who was the former President’s physician. The statement was released by Donald Trump. In the statement, Jackson referred to him as “doing well” in the time that has passed since he escaped an attempt on his life in Pennsylvania over the weekend. Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was 20 years old at the time, fired several shots in his direction while he was speaking at a rally in the state. One of the bullets hit him in the ear.
According to what Jackson said in the statement, “The bullet missed, coming less than a quarter of an inch from entering his head, and struck the top of his right ear.” In the beginning, there was a large amount of bleeding, which was then followed by a noticeable swelling of the entire upper ear. Since then, the swelling has subsided, and the wound is slowly beginning to granulate and heal in the appropriate manner. Because of the very vascular nature of the ear, there is still bleeding that occurs on an intermittent basis, which necessitates the use of a bandage. Due to the fact that the wound itself was broad and blunt, it was not necessary to use any sutures whatsoever.
