In her first official address as the Democratic front-runner, Kamala Harris infuriated her campaign staff by labeling Donald Trump a criminal scum.
The Vice President arrived in Wilmington, DE on Monday and stopped by the Biden-Harris campaign offices. Since President Biden backed her after withdrawing from the 2024 contest, this is her show to run.
Following a kind welcome from the staff, Kamala addressed the group and the country as a whole as it was televised. She didn’t hold back, characterizing Trump as a predator, a liar, and a liar.
She said, “I prosecuted cases in court, so I dealt with offenders of all stripes. predators who mistreated females. con artists who defrauded customers. cheaters who disregarded the law in order to benefit themselves. Hear me out: I am aware of Donald Trump’s personality.”
After Biden announced his intention to not seek reelection on Sunday, Kamala’s campaign got underway, and this speech undoubtedly set the tone.
Prior stories state that Biden offered his Veep his utmost support, saying he would be out on the campaign trail for Harris while on the phone requesting Harris’ headquarters location.
Since then, Octavia Spencer, Bill Clinton, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Legend, Spike Lee, and other prominent Democrats have expressed their support for Harris’ bid for commander in chief.
VP Harris spoke to the media early on Monday in addition to her visit in Wilmington, and she thanked POTUS for his support. She then changed the subject to student athletes who were visiting the White House, rather than talking about the campaign.
She was obviously storing the heat for her address at headquarters.
