Mark Opperman has passed away unexpectedly. On Tuesday, he was announced dead by Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) in a Facebook publication. He died leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication to his work and duties. No cause of death was announced.

He has given lectures all around the world at conferences like the London Veterinary Forum, the North American Veterinary Conference, the World Small Animal Veterinary Conference, the Denmark Annual Congress, and the Fetch dvm360 conference (previously CVC).
The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association was created by Opperman, who also held the position of president until 1993. He has trained over 250 practice managers through his VMC School of Veterinary Practice Management.
