Brent Johnson Springfield, Missouri, who was recently reported missing has been found dead. On July 24, a man who had been reported missing was discovered dead close to a golf course. On Monday morning, Brent L. Johnson, 58, of Springfield, was reported missing by his family. Investigators from Camden County Deputies were dispatched to the Old Kinderhook Golf Course, which is close to Lake of the Ozarks.
Security footage from the hotel where Johnson was last seen was examined by law authorities. On Sunday night, he left through the front doors of the building, stopped briefly at his car, and continued walking. Johnson was discovered dead on Wednesday afternoon in a forested area about a half-mile from the golf course by a volunteer search team and a family member, according to a news release from the Camden County Sheriff’s Office.
Although Johnson’s death is not suspected of being the result of foul play, an autopsy and incident investigation are being carried out by detectives.
