When her child unintentionally took her seat at the movie theater, a woman lost it. The entire incident was captured on camera, including the arrival of the police. A TikTok user recorded this crazy scenario over the weekend and shared a portion of it on her account. It features a moviegoer in her face at a Manchester, Connecticut Cinemark.
You can see that the woman being watched is obviously furious that her son appears to have been placed in the seat that she paid for, but her outburst about the inaccuracy is captured on camera as she screams about it.
It’s unknown why the woman was so irrationally agitated—and some would argue unreasonable—because the events leading up to this weren’t captured on camera.
Before another child, who appears to be with the older woman, enters the frame and attempts to diffuse the issue, you can see what looks to be this woman trying to swat the camera out of the mom’s hands. She receives a shove in return.
After establishing that they were in the incorrect seat, the mother begins repositioning her children, but not before admonishing the overly eager mother to control her own behavior and exhibit some manners the next time. After a while, the two women go complain outside in the lobby.
She finds it unbelievable that the mother wants to talk to a manager and asks the police to get involved because she wants to file charges against this woman.
The original TikToker shared a follow-up video showing police on the site, but she omitted any more details to clarify what had transpired. According to individuals close to the situation, who have been contacted by authorities, the police not only arrived but also successfully escorted the woman in red out of the structure.
Although we haven’t been able to confirm this with the police just yet, sources also claim that this woman was cited over this issue. The woman was reportedly prohibited from entering the theater. Sources have contacted Manchester Police and the original TikTok user for more information, but we haven’t heard back as of yet.
